The science

Straw, modified.

We select high-fibre, low-fat portions of natural straw, the parts least prone to decay. Physical expansion increases the surface area. A super-hydrophilic molecular treatment turns ordinary fibre into ultra-hydrophilic modified straw fibre. The result absorbs faster, holds more, and resists microbial growth at the source.

In January 2026, the CENO team walked Australian retail aisles to study what cats, and the people who live with them, actually need: low odour, low dust, easy clean-up. CENO Grain Cat Litter was tested against the local benchmark before we shipped a single bag to Australia.
